Chiara is a film director and editor currently based in Rome.
Having spent her childhood winters in Eritrea and Kenya and her adolescent years in Florence, Chiara’s distinctive approach to directing and editing is informed by memories of places and moments near and far, as well as the energy of the world’s creative capitals.
Chiara’s love for film unfolded at age 13, when she received an iFlip camcorder as a Christmas gift. Her fascination with the past, vintage film, and all things analogue, contributes to her whimsical style. She loves capturing unexpected moments behind the scenes and engaging with her audience through her characteristic and exhilarating “quick-cut” technique.
Her work has been featured on Harper’s Bazaar Italia, Nowness and Dazed.

Chiara holds a B.A. in Media and Cultural Studies from LCC in London. She completed a summer semester at Prague film school before pursuing a postgraduate program at EICAR in Paris, focusing on cinematography and film direction and editing.
